How to grant shutdown authority to selected users in Windows Server 2012 R2

In Windows Server 2012 R2, you can follow the steps below to grant shutdown command authority to the server only to the users we select. We type Edit Group Policy in the search section of Windows and run it. In the left pane, we follow the steps on the right, respectively. We go to Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > User Rights Assignment. We enter Shutdown the system on the right and remove all existing users and groups. Then we add the users we determined. As the last step, we enter the command line and run the gpupdate /force command.
