How to copy a PostgreSQL table

You can edit any table with data, indexes, triggers, functions, etc. on PostgreSQL 9. You can use the example below to copy it completely.


CREATE TABLE location_cities_new (LIKE location_cities INCLUDING ALL);
INSERT INTO location_cities_new SELECT * FROM location_cities;

You can use the example below to copy only the indexes.

CREATE TABLE location_cities_new (LIKE location_cities INCLUDING INDEXES);
INSERT INTO location_cities_new SELECT * FROM location_cities;
