Deleting File Contents in Linux Terminal
To delete the entire content of a file via terminal in Linux, we will enter the following commands.
(Enter your file extension according to your preference.)
We will look at the file content with the first command.
cat /etc/dovecot/dovecot.cot
With the second command we will clear the file contents.
cat /dev/null > /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf
We can enter the following command to check.
cat /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf
