CyberPanel Installation Steps on Ubuntu

 

CyberPanel is a fast and easy-to-manage control panel based on OpenLiteSpeed. You can install CyberPanel on a server running Ubuntu by following the steps below.

 

Requirements

 

Before installing CyberPanel, ensure that your server meets the following requirements:

  • Ubuntu 20.04 or 22.04
  • Minimum 1 GB RAM (Recommended: 2 GB or more)
  • Minimum 10 GB disk space
  • Root or sudo user access

 

Step 1: Update the Server

 

First, update the system packages:
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y

 

Step 2: Download and Run the CyberPanel Installation Script

 

Run the following command to install CyberPanel:
sudo apt install -y curl && sh <(curl -fsSL https://cyberpanel.net/install.sh)

 

Step 3: Configure Installation Options

 

Once the script runs, you will need to configure the installation by selecting the following options:

 

  1. Which version of CyberPanel do you want to install?

    • Press 1 for OpenLiteSpeed.
    • Press 2 for LiteSpeed Enterprise (requires a license).


  2. Do you want a full-featured installation?

    • Press Y to continue.


  3. Select the MariaDB version (Recommended: MariaDB 10.4 or later).


  4. Set the CyberPanel password.

    • Press 1 to generate a random password.
    • Press 2 to set your own password.


  5. Do you want to install additional features?

    • You can choose Y or N to install extensions such as Memcached, Redis, and Watchdog.

 

After the installation is complete, the necessary login credentials will be provided.

 

Step 4: Access CyberPanel

 

Once the installation is finished, you can access CyberPanel via your web browser:
https://your-server-ip:8090

The default username is admin, and the password is the one you set during installation.

 

CyberPanel is now installed on your server and ready to use. You can use the easy management interface that CyberPanel offers to manage your websites, create email accounts and more.
