To connect to MsSQL Server via Ubuntu, you can connect to the service by installing the pymssql package.
First, we install the FreeTDS package and pymssql library with the following command.
sudo apt install -y freetds-dev; pip install pymssql
After the necessary packages are installed, we create an empty file and write the following codes into it.
import pymssqlconn = pymssql.connect(host="ip.ad.re.si", user="sa", password="PASSWORD", database="DATABASENAME", port="3558")
cursor = conn.cursor()
cursor.execute('SELECT * FROM TABLENAME WHERE AGE=%s', '11') for row in cursor:
print('row = %r' % (row,))conn.close()
We save the file by giving it a name in accordance with Python rules.
You can run it as python filename.py from the terminal and view the output.
