IPv6 is the sixth version of the Internet Protocol (IP). Here is some information about IPv6:
Large Address Space: IPv6 uses a 128-bit address space, providing approximately 340 undecillion unique IP addresses. This is much larger than IPv4's 32-bit address space.
Security Focused: IPv6 has Internet Protocol Security (IPSec) out of the box.
Local Subnet Group Management: IPv6 allows devices to stay connected to several networks simultaneously. This is due to interoperability and configuration capabilities that enable hardware to automatically assign multiple IP addresses to the same device
IPv6 provides unique IP addresses for internet-enabled devices to communicate and offers a better solution to future internet traffic growth.
