Solution to TemplateDoesNotExist at / index.html Error

If the file you are looking for does not exist, it gives a template not matched error. In this example, the index.html file does not exist or is located at an incorrect path.

First of all, make sure that there is a templates folder under the project folder and an index.html file in it, and also make sure that the DIR variable is added to the TEMPLATES definitions in the settings.py file.
