Solution to MySQL Ubuntu errno 24 Too many open files Error
If you are getting the errno: 24 - Too many open files error in the MySQL service on Ubuntu operating systems, it will be resolved if you change the read permissions on systemd.
We change the file of the mysql service controlled by systemd.
nano /lib/systemd/system/mysql.service
[Service]
..
LimitNOFILE=infinityLimitMEMLOCK=infinity
systemctl daemon-reload
Then we restart the MySQL service.
/etc/init.d/mysql restart
We log in to MySQL.
mysql -u root -p
Finally, we check the limit.
SHOW VARIABLES LIKE 'open%';
mysql> SHOW VARIABLES LIKE 'open%';+------------------+---------+| Variable_name | Value |+------------------+---------+| open_files_limit | 1048576 |+------------------+---------+
