Installing Python 3.6 in Alpine Linux

You can use the following codes for installation.

cd /tmp/
apk add build-base zlib-dev openssl-dev nano
wget https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.6.9/Python-3.6.9.tgz
tar xvf Python-3.6.9.tgz
rm -rf Python-3.6.9.tgz
cd Python-3.6.9
./configure --with-ensurepip=install --without-tests --disable-tests
make -j8 build_all
make -j8 altinstall
cd..
rm -rf Python-3.6.9/
ln -s /usr/local/bin/python3.6 python
ln -s /usr/local/bin/pip3.6 pip

python3.6 -V
