How to provide firewall features via VMware ESXi Web-GUI
To access only the IP addresses you've approved, or "whitelisted," in the ESXi Web GUI, you can follow the steps below.
When accessing ESXi via a web browser like https://youripaddress/ui/, only the IP addresses you've added to your whitelist will be allowed to access ESXi.
1- First, log in to the VMware ESXi Web GUI as root. Then, click the Networking button in the left menu on the main page.
2- On the page that opens, navigate to Firewall Rules.
3- The screen that appears displays the ports and rules currently in use on the server. Scroll down to find vSphere Web Access and vSphere Web Client. Right-click on the option and click Edit Settings.
4- In the screen that opens, all connections are made to all IP addresses by default. This means they are open to all IP addresses. Immediately below the "Allow connections only from the following networks" button, enter the IP address that will be allowed to connect only to that IP address. (You can also enter multiple IP addresses.)
After completing these steps, the process will begin.
