How to Assign Layer 3 Switch Interface IP
How to Assign Layer 3 Switch Interface IP
We will use the "no switchport" command to assign IPs to Layer 3 Switch interfaces.
The "no switchport" command puts the relevant interface into layer 3 mode and makes the interface work like a router rather than a switchport.
Teknosos(config)#int gi0/1
Teknosos(config-if)#no switchport
Teknosos(config-if)#ip add 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0
Teknosos(config-if)#no shut
Teknosos(config-if)#exit
