Changing VMware Vcenter Root Password
To change the VMware Vcenter root password, follow the steps below.
1- While restarting the Vmware server, press the e key on the GRUB screen.
2- Select VMware vCenter Server Appliance from the options that appear and press the e button again.
3- Select the line that says kernel... and press the e button. Type init=/bin/bash at the end of the line and press the Enter button.
Boot by pressing the 4-b key.
5-Type "passwd" in the command line that appears at startup and enter the new password.
NOTE: ! ^ & / ( ) ? Special characters like should be added.
After your process is completed, restart the server with the command below.
mkfifo /dev/initctl
reboot -f
