Changing Centos 7 Root Password
Restart the server from Vmware. Switch to Grub with ESC. (If switching to boot, wait a while and then press ESC.)
Select the latest kernel and press the e key.
Go to the line starting with linux16 and change the variable ro to rw init=/sysroot/bin/sh.
Restart the server with CTRL-X or F10.
We gain authority in the system with chroot /sysroot.
With passwd, the root user's password change is initiated. (passwd hope with hope user)
touch /.autorelabel
Restart the server with the reboot -f command.
