Disney+ Starts Testing TikTok-Style Vertical Video Feature
Digital streaming platforms have begun changing their traditional viewing model as user habits continue to shift. New Feature Called Verts
The new system introduced by Disney+ is called Verts. This feature provides a vertical scrolling video feed where users can watch short clips from movies and TV shows. The structure is very similar to the format used by TikTok, **Instagram Reels, and **YouTube Shorts.
Users can scroll up to see new clips, and the feed is filled with scenes, trailers, highlights, and short previews. When a user likes a clip, they can instantly open the full movie or series page and start watching without searching manually. This makes content discovery much faster compared to the classic streaming interface.
Why Disney+ Is Adding Short Videos
Streaming platforms were originally built for long-form content, but user behavior has changed significantly. Mobile usage has increased, and people now prefer quick videos instead of starting long movies immediately.
